Measuring for Chest Protector Length:

1. Recommended Fit: Measure from your neck to a point 2-3 inches above the navel for optimal fit.
   
2. Personal Preference: Some umpires may prefer the bottom of the chest protector closer to the naval for additional protection.
   
3. Consider your stance, level, and experience when determining the desired length.
   
4. For extra length, select chest protectors with a sizing plate or extension.

General Notes:

• If in doubt, opt for the larger of two sizes.
• If needed urgently, order two sizes and return the less suitable one.
• Smaller sizes are most commonly returned.
  

Adjusting Your Chest Protector:

• Tighten the straps at the top and sides for a secure fit.
• In front of a mirror, check that the protector covers your collarbone and ribs.
• Ensure the chest protector is comfortable and easy to remove.
• Note for Hard Shell Protectors: They may require time to conform in the shoulders. Use a hair dryer to heat and gently bend this area for a better fit.
